Coffee with Cream are the exact words the homeowners used when describing the look they were trying to achieve with their remodel. To keep it fun, and give a pop of bold color, she chose red tile accents. The footprint in the kitchen stayed the same as the homeowner wanted to leave the existing floor tile. By cutting down the breakfast bar, adding recessed can lights, and using contrasting cabinet and countertop materials we modernized the living area. Centering the original gas fireplace, closing in the accompanying niche and adding the rustic espresso mantle established a defined space to mount their TV.
In the master bath we removed the tub and created a much larger shower in it's place. The old shower location was framed in for a pantry cabinet inside the toilet room. Red glass mosaic tile and red framed mirrors add the color pop and continue the coffee and cream aesthetic.
To complete the project we framed in unnecessary niches throughout the home, changed out carpet in the bedrooms, painted the interior, changed the fixtures in the guest bath and the hinges and door knobs to oil rubbed bronze.
